Background
Audrey McLoghlin, founder and chief executive of Frank & Eileen, has launched a new non-profit organisation aimed at encouraging more women to become entrepreneurs. The new Frank & Eileen Foundation will focus on expanding access to entrepreneurship education for girls and women.
The foundation begins with an initial $1 million contribution from the brand. According to the company, the initiative will continue Frank & Eileen’s mission of supporting female leadership and creating opportunities for the next generation of women entrepreneurs.
The organisation plans to introduce original online programmes designed to build entrepreneurial thinking among young people. These programmes will target girls and young women from the age of 12 and above. The goal is to help them develop business skills, leadership confidence and creative problem-solving abilities at an early stage.
The foundation will also explore partnerships and start new programs to expand entrepreneurship training and create leadership opportunities for women. Through these efforts, the organisation hopes to reshape the entrepreneurial landscape and create stronger pathways for women in business.
The launch also builds on the company’s larger philanthropic effort known as the Giving Pledge. In 2020, Frank & Eileen pledged to give $10 million over ten years to back initiatives led by women. After reaching that goal earlier than expected, the brand expanded the pledge to $20 million in 2025.
Funding from the Giving Pledge continues to support programmes such as fellowships, business accelerators and startup incubators. It also helps develop a Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership at a leading U.S. educational institution. The new foundation will operate as a separate non-profit entity but will share the same mission of empowering women through education and opportunity.
Speaking about the initiative, McLoghlin said that entrepreneurship can bring real change, especially for women. She added that giving more women access to good entrepreneurial education can inspire future generations and create new opportunities for women leaders worldwide.
