Background

In Spring 2026, LLC MDO FINCA Tajikistan took firm steps to back women-led businesses across the country. The organization received recognition from the country’s financial regulator and expanded its role through participation in an international initiative focused on women entrepreneurs.

FINCA Tajikistan received a second-place diploma and a commemorative award from the National Bank based on the results of a 2025 competition that recognized financial organizations offering non-banking services to women entrepreneurs. The recognition highlighted the company’s contribution to strengthening support systems for women in business.

The company credited much of this achievement to the work of the FINCA Women’s Club. Management stated that the club’s team played a key role through its consistent work and dedication. The company added that its services go beyond financial products by also focusing on education and support for clients.

Another major development came in the first week of April, when FINCA Tajikistan officially joined the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Code (WE Finance Code) during a ceremony in Dushanbe. This endeavor is focused on providing better systems of support to women-owned businesses across the globe.

Through participation in the Code, FINCA expects to be able to provide better financial instruments for use by women, as well as improve non-financial assistance, including mentorship and business education.

As per the company’s management, their participation in the endeavor will allow them to fulfill their mandate of assisting women, especially those from rural areas, who face more challenges in growing their businesses.
