Derry woman Siobhan Moran, Chair of Women in Banking & Finance NI, is set to launch a major new conference dedicated to advancing women in banking and finance.
The inaugural WIBF Live event will take place at Riddel Hall, Queen’s University Belfast, on November 10, 2026, bringing together up to 300 professionals, students and future leaders.
Moran said the conference aims to connect people across every career stage, from students exploring the industry to senior leaders and entrepreneurs. She added that Northern Ireland’s growing financial and professional services sector offers an opportunity to share knowledge, build connections and widen access to strengthen the talent pipeline.
Organized by Moran alongside deputy co-chairs Aimee Bullock and Victoria White, the event is built around the theme Lift Lead Level Up, focusing on career growth and leadership. The programme will feature keynote speakers and practical sessions designed to foster professional connections.
Entrepreneur Aimee Connolly, founder of Sculpted by Aimee, will headline the event, joined by BBC presenter Claire McCollum. Connolly built her beauty brand from the age of 23 into one of Ireland’s leading names, now stocked by major retailers including Boots and Selfridges. She will share her journey from makeup artist to award winning business leader.
WIBF chief executive Vicky Soden said the conference offers a chance to celebrate Northern Ireland’s professional talent and create connections that extend beyond the event. Early bird tickets start at 45 pounds for WIBF members, with student tickets priced at 20 pounds.
