More than 400 people gathered at the Pablo Center in Eau Claire on Wednesday for the 23rd annual Women’s Business Conference.
Western Dairyland’s Women’s Business Center hosted the event. The conference aims to help women in the Chippewa Valley at whatever level they have reached, whether they already manage a business or arrive with just an idea.
The program included more than 75 businesses that showed their work to attendees. Women could also attend 15 educational sessions.
Anna Cardarella, CEO of Western Dairyland, said the team wants to offer every bit of support it can because no one knows which connections will matter. She said she meets women at every stage of their business journey.
Cardarella described a path that starts with an idea. Women meet others, build networks and may seek business counseling. Some then become exhibitors, and later they mentor other women and help them move up. “I’m just happy to be here today,” Cardarella said.
The gathering drew a large crowd, with more than 400 guests filling the Pablo Center, and it marked the 23rd year the event has run. The turnout shows steady interest among Chippewa Valley women in building businesses and supporting one another.
The exhibitors and sessions gave guests chances to learn, meet peers and look for mentors in one place.
