Background

Equi Consultancy Partners took part in the WEConnect International APAC Summit 2026, which was held in Singapore. It is worth noting that the summit brought together various business leaders, investors, and policymakers with an aim to help grow women’s enterprises in the Asia-Pacific region.

It is important to note that the conference aimed at guiding companies on how to handle economic uncertainties, new technological innovations, sustainability issues, and changing global trade dynamics. Public and private sector leaders discussed practical solutions to build future-ready businesses and improve opportunities for women entrepreneurs across APAC markets.

Equi Consultancy Partners CEO Nora Fraser participated in a strategic roundtable on inclusive supply chains and impact sourcing. She said regional leaders increasingly recognise that inclusive procurement, innovation, and collaboration are important for sustainable economic growth. She also noted that the summit encouraged practical action in areas such as AI adoption, public-private partnerships, and long-term support for women-led businesses.

Various discussions focused on the increasingly critical need for incorporating artificial intelligence into small to medium-sized enterprises’ efforts at enhancing good governance, sustainable financing, and streamlining their processes. The industry players shared insights on how the use of artificial intelligence can help firms negotiate contracts and operate effectively.

An important milestone at the summit was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Government of Uzbekistan and WEConnect International, represented by Hamroh Initiative, which works to empower women entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan.

As part of its tour to Singapore, Equi Consultancy Partners held consultations with innovative organisations in the region, including JTC LaunchPad @ one-north, to explore opportunities for possible cooperation.
