Background:

The Club Women’s Network and the Irish Women in Business Network (IWBN) have come together to launch the Irish Women in Business Club, a new network designed to better support women entrepreneurs across Ireland. The merger combines the members and resources of both organisations, creating more opportunities for women in business.

The Club Women’s Network was started in 2020 by Cork-based entrepreneur Sian Horn as a social enterprise to help female founders through networking, collaboration, and access to useful resources. After the merger, Horn will step down from her leadership role but will remain active as a member of the community.

Reflecting on the change, Horn said, “Passing the leadership to Denise feels like the right move at the right time. Our visions are aligned, and I’m confident the network will continue to grow and thrive. While I will always be the founder, I look forward to being part of this next chapter as a member.”

Denise Whitmore, founder of the Irish Women in Business Network, will take on the role of CEO for the merged club. She explained that the new network will focus on giving women easier access to resources, stronger peer support, and useful opportunities at every stage of running a business. Membership will include both free and paid options, ensuring it is open to all while providing extra support and programs for those who want it.

Whitmore added that the merger brings together the best of both organisations. “By combining our members’ experience and values, we can create stronger connections, greater visibility, and real support for women running businesses.”

The club will be a hub for women entrepreneurs in Ireland, offering support, guidance, and opportunities to connect with others. This merger will give women a stronger platform to grow their businesses and succeed.
