Background:
SheSparks 2026, YourStory’s women-focused event, will take place on March 14 at IIT Delhi. It will bring together women leaders to talk about job, business, and skill opportunities for women in India.
India still faces a significant gender gap in the workforce. Only about 40.3% of women are employed, and women make up just 14–20% of entrepreneurs. In technology and other advanced fields, representation is even lower, with women accounting for around 14.9% of the workforce.
SheSparks 2026 aims to confront these realities head-on by creating a shared platform for learning, collaboration, and visibility. By bringing together women from different industries, regions, and stages of life, the event seeks to move conversations beyond inspiration toward practical action.
A key part of the event is the SheCommerce Bazaar, a marketplace for women-led businesses.
The speakers come from a wide range of fields, including technology, public policy, social impact, finance, creativity, and defence. Past events have featured leaders like Sudha Murty, Nivruti Rai, Tessy Thomas, Vani Kola, Chetna Gala Sinha, and Chandrika Deb.
The discussions will focus on women’s real experiences, including access to opportunities, support systems, and the barriers that affect their careers and businesses.
SheSparks 2026 is expected to bring together over 100 women leaders, host more than 500 attendees on-site, and reach over 5 million women through digital and media platforms. The organisers say the event is not just a celebration of women’s ambition, but a platform to help women take on leadership roles and succeed in different sectors.
SheSparks 2026 will offer mentorship, market access, and open talks to help women grow, lead, and succeed.
