Background
The Converge ICT Solutions increased its subscribers for small to medium businesses by 21 percent during the first half of the year, having reached almost 80,000 clients, as the broadband company links growth with cultural development within its organization.
The growth reflects Converge’s continued push to serve Philippine micro, small and medium enterprises while strengthening employee engagement across the company.
The subscriber gains came alongside industry recognition for two Converge executives. Angela Gutierrez, SME group vice president and head of SME Marketing, received the Best Chief Marketing Officer Award from the Philippines’ Women Leaders. Rio Laine Bringuelo, engagement and internal communications manager, won the Human Resources Icon Award from Advantage Club for her work on employee engagement and well-being.
Gutierrez was recognised for positioning the Converge SME Solutions Group as a technology partner for small businesses, running marketing campaigns that drove both leads and subscriber growth. She said her focus was on giving Philippine businesses a strong start in their growth journey, adding that helping small enterprises scale also supported local employment.
Bringuelo led a mental health programme reaching more than 2,000 employees, built partnerships with mental health providers, set up monthly fitness sessions, and organised staff participation in the national Pride March as part of Converge’s diversity and inclusion efforts. She said the award reflected the company’s broader commitment to developing people in the workplace.
Converge is combining commercial expansion with culture-building efforts, positioning both as core to its strategy of supporting small business growth while retaining talent.
