Background-
Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and London Business School have launched 10 scholarships that will send Emirati women from the DIFC community to executive education programs. The two institutions announced the initiative as the DIFC Academy marks its 20th year.
The scholarships cover London Business School’s Executive Education Open programs, which the Financial Times ranks first in the world for the second straight year. The school’s custom programs rank second globally. Recipients will gain new skills, grow their leadership abilities, and speed up their careers.
The announcement closes DIFC’s Emirati Women’s Month, which ran from August 28 to September 28 under the theme “Together We Rise Stronger and Better.”
Alya Alzarouni, Chief Operating Officer of DIFC Authority, said the partnership gives 10 Emirati women access to world-class training and supports the UAE’s push for a diverse, future-ready financial center.
Sergei Guriev, Dean of London Business School, said the school looks forward to welcoming more talented Emirati women into its learning community.
London Business School opened its first campus outside London in Dubai in 2007, and that campus sits inside the DIFC Academy. It will mark 20 years in 2027.
The DIFC Innovation Hub is also running Women in Business Week, with events on technology, finance, entrepreneurship, innovation, and personal branding. Sessions include Women Behind the Code, BuildHers of Tomorrow, and Women Powering Finance. The week brings women across the DIFC community together to connect, learn, and lead.
