Background

In Colombia, Furnished Finder has assembled an operations staff led primarily by women, and this workforce is essential to the US housing platform’s expanding clientele.

Cami Narino, who joined Furnished Finder in 2016 as its first operations hire, led the effort to recruit talent from Colombia. She said the country offered a strong pool of skilled and educated women who often face limited access to suitable job opportunities.

More than 90% of Furnished Finder’s Colombia-based operations team identifies as women. The team now handles key functions including customer experience, trust and safety, sales and quality assurance for a platform serving more than 300,000 landlords across the US.

Millions of travelers are supported by the Colombia team, which also contributes to upholding client confidence and service quality. Furnished Finder has also expanded its US operations, including its team in Austin, Texas. More than 80% of the company’s global workforce identifies as women, while women hold nearly half of its director-level positions.

Narino said the company focuses on identifying potential early, setting clear performance standards and providing employees with training and opportunities to develop. She believes businesses can find valuable talent outside traditional hiring channels by focusing on skills, resilience and the ability to grow.

She also said women-led teams have helped improve empathy, accuracy and accountability across Furnished Finder’s operations. Their work in trust, safety and quality assurance has supported customer retention and business growth.

As AI and automation change workplace roles, Narino said companies should invest in people alongside technology. She believes businesses that blend operational efficiency with employee growth can form stronger teams.
