Widely popular and referred digital educational magazine, The Knowledge Review is please to feature Adelina Holmes, the Principal of Sampoerna Academy, PI, who is a visionary leader cultivating a positive and supportive atmosphere, as she excels at developing leadership among teachers and staff.
Her holistic philosophy allows teachers to work at their best and students to achieve their full potential. Through emphasizing the on-going enhancement of teaching and learning, she works towards improving the quality of instruction.
Adelina is certain that excellent schools are established on the shoulders of excellent teachers, staff, parents, and community members. Her greatest passion is to create a purposeful community by increasing collective efficacy, communication, professional development, and collaboration among all stakeholders.
Committed to close collaboration with teachers, office staff, and others, Adelina works to provide each child with the best chance to succeed academically and socially. By working in a collegial setting and capitalizing on the strengths of the entire school community, she seeks to create and sustain the outstanding culture that characterizes her school.
Adelina has devoted her time to the education sector and has assumed leadership positions in 2012. She has worked across various countries including China, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and presently Indonesia. With each of these places, she was taught various cultures and histories, and thus she is presently in a better position to lead with respect and cultural sensitivity.
Adelina has a master’s degree in Leadership and Management and Education, and she is currently undertaking a doctorate in education. As much as education has played some role, she bases her inspiration on what happens on a day-to-day basis through conversations with staff and students.
Seeing her team members and colleagues grow and thrive is most rewarding for Adelina. She is happy to see her team members achieve their professional aspirations, knowing their achievement will also cascade to their peers, students, and families. This dedication to helping others’ potential develop comes from the fact that she considers great leadership to be empowering others so they can achieve their full potential.
