The move positions Morgan, a World Cup and Olympic champion and longtime co-captain of the U.S. national team, at the forefront of one of the most ambitious ventures in women’s sports. WTGL, set to launch in the winter of 2026–27, will follow the technology-driven, arena-based model of TGL, the primetime team simulator golf league co-founded by Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and TMRW Sports CEO Mike McCarley.
The league will feature teams of LPGA stars competing in fast-paced, television-friendly matches at the custom-built SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, which currently hosts TGL. While the exact team lineup is still to be announced, the focus is on delivering an exciting, viewer-focused experience that elevates the profiles of top women golfers.
Through Trybe Ventures, co-founded in 2022 by Morgan and her husband, former MLS player Servando Carrasco, the investment brings together an all-female group of high-profile leaders across sports, media, finance, and technology. The roster includes Linnea Roberts, founder of GingerBread Capital; Jenny Just, co-founder of PEAK6 Investments; Susan Lyne, co-founder of BBG Ventures; Jen Mackesy, professional soccer club owner; and Ellie Rubenstein, investor and philanthropist. Soccer legends Mia Hamm and Abby Wambach are also part of the group.
