Background
Global Gaming Women (GGW), a non-profit organisation supporting women in the gaming industry, has announced a new leadership team that will guide the organisation for the next three years. Light & Wonder’s Chief Executive Officer of Gaming, Siobhan Lane, has been named GGW’s new President and Board Chair, effective January 1, 2026.
Lane succeeds outgoing President Lauren Bates, who also serves as Vice President of Sales at Light & Wonder. GGW said Lane’s appointment reflects her long-standing commitment to education and professional development within the organisation.
Brandi Ellis, a veteran gaming industry executive, and Adriana Kasunic, Vice President of People Operations at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, have been appointed as Vice Presidents. GGW also approved the appointment of Julie Woodruff, Vice President of Finance at Seminole Casino Hotel Immokalee, as Board Secretary. Woodruff steps into the role following Kasunic’s move to Vice President.
Lauren Bates said Lane has played a key role in expanding GGW’s education-focused programs and reach. She added that these efforts are expected to continue under the new leadership.
Reflecting on her tenure, Bates thanked GGW’s members, sponsors, board members and volunteers for their support. She noted that during her term, the organisation added more than 3,000 new members, launched 10 new programs and held 17 live education events. GGW also expanded its presence into two new countries during this period.
Siobhan Lane said she is honoured to take on the role and plans to build on the strong foundation laid by GGW’s founders and outgoing leadership. She praised Bates for leading the organisation to new levels of growth and influence.
GGW’s leadership transition comes as the organisation continues to focus on supporting, inspiring and advancing women across all areas of the global gaming industry through education, networking and leadership development.
